iHEALTH welcomes three new Young Researchers

With great enthusiasm, we welcome three new Young Researchers who are joining iHEALTH to contribute their knowledge and expertise to the development of research in engineering and artificial intelligence applied to health.

We welcome:

Dr. Ana Cabanas, a Physicist from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a Ph.D. in Science, specializing in Physics, from the Universidad de Tarapacá. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Universidad de Tarapacá. Her research focuses on complex systems and medical physics, requiring an interdisciplinary approach for pattern identification and interaction analysis.

Dr. Aline Xavier, a Biomedical Engineer from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, holds a Master’s in Nuclear Energy from the same institution and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences, specializing in Biomedical Engineering, from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Her research interests include medical physics, signal and image processing, magnetic resonance imaging/spectroscopy, and super-resolution imaging using ultrasound.

Dr. Ronal Coronado, a Physicist from the Universidad Central de Venezuela with a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences, specializing in Electrical Engineering, from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is currently an Academic at the Universidad de Las Américas and an Assistant Instructor Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His research focuses on data science and the physical modeling of medical images.

We are confident that their addition will strengthen our research efforts and foster new collaborations within the iHEALTH community.
