A new group of members has recently joined the institute, enriching the community by contributing their knowledge and skills to the work led by the principal and adjunct investigators at iHEALTH.

Starting in September, Ignacio Celis joined the team as the Medical Technologist in charge of the low-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. If you wish to contact Ignacio, his email is icelis@i-health.cl.

Dr. Claudia Prieto, director of iHEALTH, oversees the projects of the Master of Science in Engineering students from UC: Joaquín Errandonea ("Highly Efficient Cardiac Cine Imaging at Low Field 0.55T MRI") and Tomás Castillo ("Highly Efficient 2D Flow Imaging at Low Field 0.55T MRI"), as well as Raúl Fuentes, a Ph.D. student in Engineering Sciences at UC.

In the same vein, Dr. René Botnar, principal investigator at iHEALTH, leads the undergraduate IPRE projects of students: Naomi Aldea ("Implementation of automatic segmentation with deep learning for 3D images with different contrasts", alongside Carlota Rivera), Josefa del Campo ("Implementation of Deep Image Prior to accelerate cardiac cine image acquisition", alongside Tabita Catalán), Christopher Bravo ("Implementation of Deep Image Prior to accelerate cardiac MRF image acquisition", alongside Tabita Catalán and Diego Pedraza), and Matías Vidal ("Optimal Sequence Design for Triggered and Free-Running Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting", alongside Diego Pedraza).

Lastly, Santiago Pedrero, who previously completed an IPRE project, is once again collaborating with Nicolás Garrido on the research project, "Optimization of sequence for low-field quantitative T1-T2 magnetic resonance imaging through simulations."
