iHEALTH welcomes Dr. Fabián Pardo as Adjunct Researcher

iHEALTH is pleased to announce the incorporation of Dr. Fabián Pardo as a new Adjunct Researcher, who will contribute his expertise in maternal health, explainable artificial intelligence, and the development of innovative medical devices.

Dr. Pardo is a Medical Technologist and PhD in Sciences, with a mention in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Universidad Austral de Chile. He currently serves as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Valparaíso (San Felipe Campus), where he also coordinates the Graduate, Postgraduate, and Continuing Education Unit.

His research focuses on the use of explainable artificial intelligence and health technologies, such as continuous glucose monitoring, to prevent perinatal complications in pregnancies with diabetes or pregestational obesity.

Among his most recent projects is the development and pilot testing of the D-EVITA software, funded by FONDEF (ID25I10588), which aims to predict perinatal complications in pregnancies with gestational diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Pardo’s incorporation will strengthen iHEALTH’s research lines and foster new opportunities for collaboration in areas such as digital health, metabolic disorders of pregnancy, and patient empowerment.
