iHEALTH participates in the 2024 Joint Workshop on MR Phase, Magnetic Susceptibility, and Electrical Properties Mapping - EMTP Chile

From September 25 to 27, the 2024 Joint Workshop on MR Phase, Magnetic Susceptibility, and Electrical Properties Mapping took place, with iHEALTH as a sponsor.

Dr. Cristian Tejos, adjunct researcher at iHEALTH, and senior researcher Dr. Pablo Irarrázaval were part of the organizing team for the second edition of the workshop. The event brought together scientists and healthcare professionals to explore how the magnetic and electrical properties of biological tissues, analyzed non-invasively through Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), can transform the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.

The iHEALTH team made significant contributions to the workshop, showcasing cutting-edge research. On September 25, Dr. Marcelo Andia from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile presented "Clinical challenges in the body," discussing key clinical challenges related to MRI use in the human body.

On September 26, Dr. Claudia Prieto, director of iHEALTH, delivered a presentation titled "Deep Learning on cardiac and Low Field applications; experiences at the Millennium Institute for Intelligent Healthcare Engineering (iHEALTH)," highlighting advances in low-field applications and the use of deep learning in cardiac imaging. Later that day, Dr. Francisco Sahli addressed the future of the field with his talk on "Physics Informed Neural Networks and the future of the field."

Finally, on September 27, Néstor Muñoz, a PhD student from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, presented his poster on "Impact of angulated acquisitions in QSM reconstructions."
