Girls in STEAM iHEALTH 2023
On January 19, 2023, we received the visit of girls and young people to the laboratories of iHEALTH and the Institute of Biological and Medical Engineering, IIBM, both located in the Science and Technology Building of the San Joaquín Campus of the Universidad Católica.
Girls between the ages of 8 and 16 were able to see the places where our scientists carry out their research and understand how a magnetic resonator works and what physiological sensors are used for in relation to medical diagnoses.
The activity was guided by the young researchers from the iHEALTH Millennium Institute, Pamela Franco and Marie González, who answered the questions of the girls and in the laboratories they were able to share with María Rodríguez, iHEALTH principal investigator and Ricardo Salinas, iHEALTH Medical Technologist.
Soon we will present the calendar with all the outreach activities that iHEALTH has prepared for this year 2023.
