Abstract Submission Now Open for LACSC 2025 Annual Conference in Valparaíso

The IX Latin American Conference on Statistical Computing (LACSC 2025), the flagship academic event of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC), has opened its call for extended abstract submissions. This year, the conference will take place at the University of Valparaíso from November 5 to 7, 2025, with a pre-conference Spring School on November 4.

The event is organized by the University of Valparaíso and the Interdisciplinary Center for Biomedical Research and Health Engineering (MEDING), in collaboration with the Millennium Institute iHEALTH and the Latin American Regional Section of the IASC (IASC-LARS). It is also supported by national and international organizations such as the International Statistical Institute (ISI), the American Statistical Association (ASA), the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS), and the Chilean Association for Pattern Recognition (ACHIRP).

The local organizing committee includes two members from iHEALTH: Dr. Rodrigo Salas, Full Professor at the School of Biochemical Civil Engineering of the University of Valparaíso and Principal Investigator at iHEALTH, and Dr. David Ortiz, Assistant Professor at the same institution and Early-Career Researcher at iHEALTH.

This year’s theme, “The Frontiers of Statistical Computing and Data Science in the Artificial Intelligence Era”, highlights the convergence between statistical methodologies and the computational advances driving the current development of artificial intelligence, with applications ranging from health and finance to climate science and autonomous systems.

July 31, 2025: Deadline for submitting extended abstracts (invited talks, contributed papers, and posters).
September 1: Notification of acceptance to authors.
September 30: Deadline for final camera-ready versions.
September 1–30: Early registration.
October 1–15: Regular registration.
October 16–31: Late registration.
November 4: Spring School.
November 5–7: LACSC 2025 Conference.
