iHEALTH held an Intellectual Property workshop for students

On November 22, in the Raúl Deves study room of the UC School of Engineering, within the training activities contemplated by the iHEALTH Millennium Institute, an Intellectual Property Workshop was held for students and researchers.

The workshop was led by Muriel Oyarzún, Deputy Director of Links with Industry at the UC School of Engineering, and its objective was for students to learn and understand the logic of protection of technological assets resulting from their research, with a special focus on patents of invention.

“The innovation protected by these exclusive and exclusive rights increases the economic value of the developments, for this reason it also seeks to visualize the protection strategies as part of the business models for the commercialization of the research results”, the professor concluded.
