New technique reduced to a third heart exam time

The reduction of time in this type of examination is intended for adults at risk of developing heart disease, the elderly and children with congenital diseases.

To improve this exam, the Millennium Institute I-Health worked on a new technique, called Fingerprinting Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, a kind of “magnetic fingerprint” that allows quantifying three types of magnetic resonance parameters: quantification of fibrosis, inflammation and edema; and also an additional characterization of fibrosis without the need for external contrast agents.
